Dance Parents FAQs
The hardest part is over, getting started! There is a lot of excitement in getting ready for your child's first dance class. We are sure you have a lot of questions regarding what they may need before they start class. Here are answers to the top dance parent questions.
What can you expect with Rebecca Padgett School of Performing Arts?
Safe Space: Your child's safety is our top priority. Our dedicated team ensures a secure environment including a state-of-the-art facility with first aid stations, CPR-trained staff, and one of the only dance studios with a certified AED device for children in the state of Georgia. All of our staff go through background checks and extensive state-mandated training including Bright From the Start to ensure that your child is safe at all times.
Fun Activity/🤝Building Friendships: We believe in making dance enjoyable. Our classes are designed to be both educational and delightful, fostering a lifelong love for dance. Dance is communal, and we encourage friendships through our dance classes and performances.

What time is my child’s dance class?
We offer a variety of dance classes according to age level and grade level. Your child's start date and time will be sent via text message to your phone. Here is the current schedule:
AGES 3 - PREK -
Mondays/Wednesdays 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm
Tuesdays/Fridays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm
KINDERGARTEN - 1ST GRADE
Mondays/Wednesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm
Tuesdays/Thursdays 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
2ND GRADE- 3RD GRADE
Mondays/Wednesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm
Tuesdays/Thursdays 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
4TH - 6TH GRADE
Mondays/Wednesdays 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm
7TH- 9TH GRADE

What should my child wear to dance class?
Getting started and being comfortable are key to your child's first dance class. You should dress your child in breathable clothing for their first few dance classes, such as a t-shirt and leggings. Dancewear is available for purchase anytime. It is important that your child be able to continue to move comfortably in class and be able to be in class attire that is in uniform. To purchase dancewear or have the link sent to your mobile device text ‘dancewear’ to 912-856-0471 to have your child's customized dancewear form sent to you.
